Did You Know? Using Case References

April 3, 2017 LexisNexis IP Solutions

LexisNexis PatentOptimizer™ provides case annotation to your patent terms.

  1. First, select Check Terms from the PatentOptimizer ribbon.
  2. Under the All Terms Tab you will see all the terms from your document. An X under the Refs column indicates there are available patent cases which interpret your term.
  3. Clicking on the X populates the available cases in the bottom pane. By clicking on the case you will be able to read the case and its Shepard’s report with your PatentOptimizer ID.

Using case references in PatentOptimizer saves you valuable time researching term language.
